CALLING ON TV CHANNELS, REUTERS, ANYONE WHO WOULD LIKE TO REPORTAGE ON THIS SCANDAL AND THE EU COMMISSIONER IN CYPRUS

MAN ADMITS THAT ILLEGAL PESTICIDE IN EU, IS USED WIDELY IN CYPRUS AS 'PALM TREE THERAPY'

English Description of Video content:

Andreas Petrou (the man interviewd by tv channel on video above) is responsible for the garden care and appearence of the gardens of one of the most luxurious hotels in Cyprus. He has found a way to heal. and keep from sickness, palmtrees. He says that he heals the palmtrees from bugs by making holes on it and putting in lanate, confidor, furadan and others such pesticides. He says that he has advised others to do the same if they want to save their palmtrees. When asked if this is widespread therapy for palmtrees in Cyprus, he says 'yes'!

He says once per month ppl must put Lannate at the top of the tree and at its roots, so that the beetles eggs die before hatching.

Finally (and most interestingly...), he says that he has informed the Ministry of Agriculture of Cyprus about his heuristic method of healing pine trees.

LANNATE IS ILLEGAL IN EUROPEAN UNION AND THE CYPRUS GOVERNMENT TOLERATES IS SALE AND USE ON THE ISLAND OF CYPRUS, ENDAGERING LIVES OF ANIMALS AND HUMANS.

THOUSANDS OF DOGS AND CATS DIE VERY YEAR IN CYPRUS AND GREECE FROM BAITS OF FOOD DIPPED IN LANNATE.THE ANIMAL DIES BY SUFFOCATIONS AND INTENSE NEURAL SPASMS THAT INTENSIFY AS THE POISON WORKS.

THIS IS A PRACTICE USED WIDELY IN COUNTRIES LIKE GREECE AND CYPRUS AS A METHOD TO DEAL WITH DOG AND CAT OVER-POPULATION.

ACADEMIC (UNIVERSITY  ACADEMY OF ARTS, ATHENS GREECE) MR.MYTARAS, AFTER MASS POISONING OF HIS DOGS WHEN WALKING THEM OUTSIDE THE HOUSE, HAS SAID IN A VALID GREEK NEWPSPAER IN 2001 THAT AFTER A PERSONAL INVESTIGATION HE DISCOVERED THAT LANNATE IS FREELY AVAILABLE BY THE GREEK POLICE OR GREEK TOWN MAYORS TO CITIZENS WHO WANT TO ASSIST WITH ''CLEANING THE ROADS'' FROM DOGS.
